
Novell is pleased to announce that GroupWise Mobile Server 2 powered by Intellisync was released and made available on March 7, 2007. After the first release in Summer 2006 GroupWise Mobile Server has matured into version 2 and many small and major changes have been made to this new version. This updated version includes exciting new features and support for many new devices including the latest new Nokia models. GMS2 runs on an embedded webserver and is therefore not depended on Microsoft IIS. Novell and Nokia have planned to release a Linux version of GMS2 during the summer of 2007.

Novell GroupWise® Mobile Server 2 enables customers to synchronize e-mail, appointments, tasks, contacts and notes between GroupWise and hundreds of mobile devices. This capability is the result of a partnership between Novell and Nokia* Corporation to integrate Intellisync's wireless "push" e-mail and Personal Information Management (PIM) synchronization technology with GroupWise.
